Coach Upskilling Day – Para Athletics
in person coach up-skilling day in SETU, Carlow 11am – 3pm. Vision Sports Ireland, IWA-Sport & Paralympics Ireland will lead a coach upskilling day for staff, club coaches, tutors, coach educators, activators etc.
The day will be divided into theory & practical and will cover information on how small adaptations to sport and physical activity sessions can make a huge difference to the experience of a participant with a disability
VSI – common eyesight conditions, sighted guide, use of audio description, equipment, safety, coaching considerations, tactile modelling & guidance etc
IWA-Sport – physical disability, equipment, safety, coaching considerations, seated throws etc
PI- intro to classification and participation options
