VI Tennis Rosslare

One of the fastest growing sports for members of the Blind/Vision Impaired community in Ireland is Blind/VI tennis. There are now 150 players of all ages in centres around Ireland from Cork to Belfast and towns and cities in between.

Would you like to try it ?! – We have a group starting in September in Rosslare.

The coaching will take place indoors at the Tennis Centre in Kelly’s Hotel. Rackets and balls are provided and there is up to ten weeks of free professional coaching by Emil Klosinski the Rosslare Tennis coach – funded by Tennis Ireland through our Enjoy Tennis Programme and Vision Sports Ireland.

The game is based on sound. The sponge balls have small bells inside them that make noise and alerts the players to the location of the ball.  The game is very safe because the tennis court surfaces are completely flat and the balls are very soft !

Start Date: Saturday September 18th

Time: 7pm

Venue: Kelly’s Hotel
