Guide Running Workshop Sligo

On October 8th, Vision Sports Ireland and Sligo Sports Partnership collaborated to run a Guide Running Workshop in Doorly Park Sligo, with the aim of adding to our network of guide runners across the country.

We had a fantastic turn out with 11 new enthusiastic guide runners trained on the day who will go on to complete Vision Sports Ireland’s online Vision Sports Awareness Training theory session to gain knowledge, skills and confidence to pair with the practical skills and insights gained in Doorly park.

We are delighted with such a great turn out of volunteers who wish to become guide runners and make running and walking more inclusive for all. A special thank you to Joan Ryan (tutor) and Shane Hayes (Sports Inclusion Disability Officer) for their fantastic work.
